With security remaining a top item on our clients’ business agendas, KPN International is continuing to expand its associated service capabilities. As Internet usage continues to grow, the security challenge grows with it. KPN International offers a strong set of security services. These cover web, mail, instant messaging and data security. We manage firewalls, intrusion prevention and VoIP security. VPN connectivity is one of our most intensively used services, and here too, security is an absolute priority.

Developments for 2011

In Q1 2011, KPN International is going live with a number of security developments.

New portal for greater visibility
All our Check Point customers will be able to use a new web portal. This will provide streamlined access to the key Check Point dashboards, providing each KPN International client with a secure private view of their installed security base and of security events.

Update tracks
Compliance and good governance are at the root of good security practice. Being able to track changes and to trace change for compliance purposes is essential. KPN International will introduce a new SmartWorkFlow security component which delivers an accurate and up-to-date compliance trail on-demand.

SmartDashboard
We will enable the SmartEvent dashboard for all our customers. This provides a multi-angle view of all threats targeting your Check Point security environment.

Pro-active intervention
Until now, the KPN International security mitigation procedures are activated when business is threatened by a specific incident or situation. From end of Q1, provided as an optional customer service, this process will become increasingly pro-active. Defense becomes attack as pro-active analysis and follow-up of potential threat becomes best practice.

Smart reporting
All KPN International clients will be able to choose from an extended range of smart security reporting options. These will aid compliance, and even more importantly, help guide the most appropriate security strategy for each client.

New! Application Control
Check Point’s latest firewall innovation brings the industry’s strongest application and identity control to organizations of all sizes, allowing them to create policies which identify, block or limit usage of thousands of applications, based on user identity.
